Wedding photography is unquestionably a big investment, regardless of whatever budget you decide to set aside and it will also probably be the only lasting visual memory of your wedding day.
It can often be overwhelming when you are looking for a wedding photographer as there are so many photographers out there, with so many differing styles, making it confusing to understand what options you have to choose from.
After all, a wedding photographer is just a wedding photographer… Right?

To make it easier let’s briefly go through the characteristics of the three of main wedding photography styles;
Traditional – Wedding Photography
Conventional or classic wedding photography is dominated by carefully composed shots of groups, ranging from the whole wedding party to just the wedding couple themselves.
Reportage – Wedding Photography
Photo-journalistic or documentary style wedding photography has become increasingly popular in the recent years. The photographer has a natural approach following the bride and groom, and the guests throughout the day, capturing the events of the wedding as they happen while keeping a low-profile.
Contemporary – Wedding Photography
Taking inspiration from fashion, editorial, illustrative, creative and modern wedding photography are several unique photographic techniques that are employed in contemporary wedding photography. These techniques include the usage of unique off camera lighting, “fashion-esque” poses and expressions, along with dramatic backgrounds.
Our Wedding Photography
It’s really difficult to place ourselves into a specific style or genre as there are elements of each one of these styles that apply to our work. You could say that our photography is far more than just being labelled as wedding photographers, having gained inspiration and experience from working in other fields of photography.
Generally speaking, in our experience a combination of reportage along with a small number of formal group or portraiture photography provides better coverage, by allowing you to be yourselves and capturing moments and events as they unfold. This means that you can enjoy your wedding day while we go about our business in a discreet and unobtrusive manner.
